The Birth Canal - Happy New Year

As we move into 2023, you will hear lots about "a new you", "step into your new body" and all versions of new years resolution push and pull.

What I want to share today is a metaphor. I have spoken with a few of you about this metaphor and I am called to share it with all of you!

Envision yourself or all of humanity in the birth canal. It's dark. You are being squeezed beyond your capacity to understand the purpose of and you don't know when "it" will be over or what "it" will be like once the squeezing is over (you hope that it will be over one day but ..again you don't know).

It's scary. You may experience a wide array of emotions. Sometimes you want out. You want to give up.

This is healing.

This is evolving into next level you.

This is growth.

There are no guarantees on the other side. There is no way to know how long you will be in the birth canal or how many squeezes you will endure.

What I have witnessed time and time again is how perfectly designed your healing/birth was. How lessons around trust, surrender and unconditional love are universal lessons for each of us yet you step into those lessons in a unique to you way.

It's quite remarkable, actually.

As you step into your version of personal evolution this year, know that your birth will be beautiful, dark and potentially painful but you were made for it.
